Sachin Shah, MD, MPH

ASSISTANT CLINICAL PROFESSOR

I am an internist and clinical epidemiologist whose scholarship aims to improve the care of older, vulnerable adults. My research goals are to:

1. Individualize treatment decisions for older adults facing high stakes therapeutic decisions by studying atrial fibrillation in older adults as a model condition
2. Measure vulnerability and describe the settings in which vulnerability results in poor health outcomes
3. Build evaluation into the design of population health interventions

To accomplish this, I work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, statisticians, informaticists, economists, and epidemiologists. We use descriptive methods, causal inference tools, and randomized trials to advance these goals.
