Marianne Bauer

Assistant Professor

Marianne Bauer-Condon is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Division of Hospital Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco. She graduated summa cum laude with her bachelor degree in Chemistry from the College of the Holy Cross. She received her medical degree from Dartmouth's Geisel School of Medicine and completed her internal medicine residency at Boston Medical Center in Boston, MA. After completing residency, she worked at Lynn Community Health Center as a primary care provider serving an underserved population as part of the National Health Service Corps. While working at LCHC, she served as a preceptor for medical students from Tufts University School of Medicine in addition to facilitating problem based learning small groups for first and second year medical students through both Tufts University School of Medicine and Boston University Medical School of Medicine.

Marianne joined the faculty at UCSF in 2021. Clinically, Marianne attends on the inpatient teaching wards as well as the direct care medicine service. She teaches medical students and residents on the teaching wards teams and also volunteered as a preceptor for the second year medical student diagnostic reasoning block. Her academic interests include medical education, transitions of care, and clinical reasoning.
