Katie Raffel, MD
ASSISTANT CLINICAL PROFESSOR
Katie Raffel, MD is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine, the Assistant Medical Director of Mt Zion Respiratory Isolation Unit and the Medical Director of the Medicine Unit-Based Leadership Team.
Dr. Raffel has committed her change efforts and research endeavors to patient safety and quality improvement as it relates to diagnostic accuracy in inpatient medicine and transitions of care. She is deeply involved in undergraduate and graduate clinical reasoning and systems improvement education co-directing the fourth-year medical student and resident quality electives.
Dr. Raffel is dedicated to lifelong learning and is currently a member of the first cohort of Learning Health System Coaches at UCSF Health, an innovative program developing faculty to lead continuous improvement in their clinical settings.
