Sirisha Narayana cares for patients on the general medicine direct care and teaching services, neurosurgery co-management service, and medicine consult service at Moffitt-Long and Mission Bay hospitals. She serves on the UCSF Ethics Committee and is the co-physician leader for the Schwartz Center for Compassionate Care rounds. In her role as the faculty lead for the Integrated Clinical Skills course within the School of Medicine's Clinical Microsystem Clerkship, Sirisha studies the educational impact of hypothesis-driven physical examination. She also leads efforts to facilitate clinical management feedback for internal medicine residents and hospital medicine faculty, and studies the effects of longitudinal patient follow-up and informed self-assessment on physician medical decision-making. Apart from supervising and teaching students and residents clinically on the wards, Sirisha teaches bedside teaching to medicine residents on their teaching elective. She is a residency RAD advisor and an MS4 confidential career advisor.
