Kathleen Kerr Senior Research Analyst |
Kathleen Kerr serves as faculty and finance professional for the UCSF Palliative Care Leadership Center (PCLC). Now in its sixth year of operation, the UCSF PCLC is dedicated to helping hospitals throughout the US launch or expand inpatient palliative care programs. As PCLC faculty Kathleen has assisted dozens of groups with developing business plans, building clinical outcome databases, and conducting the financial analyses needed to support their hospital-based palliative care programs. Kathleen also assists the UCSF Palliative Care Service with collection, management and analysis of financial and clinical outcome data, and works with Steve Pantilat on a variety of research and educational initiatives. She speaks to regional and national audiences on best practices for collecting, managing and analyzing cost, operational and clinical outcome data for hospital-based palliative care programs. Prior to assuming her current post, Kathleen served as the administrative director for the UCSF Division of Hospital Medicine and as a senior analyst in the UCSF Quality Improvement Department. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the UC Berkeley.
