Nader Najafi is an Assistant Clinical Professor at UCSF Medical Center. He divides his clinical time between ward attending, neurosurgery co-management, and medicine consultation. He has a strong interest in medical education that includes code blue simulation for third year residents, ward emergency simulation and physical exam teaching with third year medical students, and doctoring and professionalism mentoring for first and second year medical students. He has an academic focus on doctor-patient/family communication on the wards and is developing a curriculum for internal medicine residents to practice this skill. He has published on the use of telemetry on medical wards and has been invited to speak at the Society of Hospital Medicine on this research topic.


Dr. Najafi completed his Hospital Medicine Fellowship and Internal Medicine residency training at UCSF, and received his medical degree from UCSD.
